Privacy Policy

The Tennis Index is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

The Tennis Index does not require user accounts or collect personal information. We do not use cookies for tracking. Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be retained temporarily for operational purposes.

Watch progress. When you play a review, your browser records how far you watched in local storage on your device, so we can show a progress bar on thumbnails you have already seen. This stays on your device, is not a cookie, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and is not used for tracking or advertising.

YouTube API Services

This site uses YouTube API Services for video discovery and display. By using this site, you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.

YouTube embedded player

We embed reviews using YouTube’s official player. The player is not loaded until you choose to play a video. While you browse listings and racquet pages, only static thumbnail images load from YouTube; the player and its cookies are not present until you open a video.

When you play a video, the player loads from youtube.com and YouTube may set cookies and collect data about that playback under its own policies. If you are signed in to Google or YouTube in the same browser, YouTube may associate the playback with your account, including your YouTube watch history. This processing is YouTube’s; we do not receive or control it.

You can review and control what YouTube and Google collect through your Google account’s data & privacy settings, and you can browse the entire site without playing a video if you prefer not to load the player at all.

Contact form

If you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.

Server logs

Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These are retained temporarily for operational and security purposes.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. No personally identifiable information is collected. No advertising cookies are used.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Vercel. Video content is served by YouTube. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.

Your rights and choices

Because The Tennis Index does not require accounts and does not use tracking cookies, we hold very little personal data about you. The only personal data we collect directly is what you send through our contact form (your name, email address, and message) and standard server logs.

Access, correction, and deletion. You can request a copy of, a correction to, or deletion of the contact-form data we hold about you by emailing contact@intrlnkd.co.

Your choices.You can clear your on-device watch-progress data at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, and you can control what YouTube and Google collect when you play a video through your Google account’s data & privacy settings.

We do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing for you to opt out of, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. Where the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California) grant additional rights, we honor applicable requests at the contact details below.

Changes to this policy

This policy is versioned. The current version is 1.0, effective at public launch. If we make material changes after launch, we will publish the updated policy here with a new version number and date.
