DMCA Policy
The Tennis Index respects the intellectual property rights of others. This page describes our procedures for responding to copyright infringement claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), codified at 17 U.S.C. § 512.
What the DMCA covers
The DMCA provides a process for copyright owners to request removal of material they believe infringes their rights. It also protects service providers that act in good faith to address claims. The Tennis Index aggregates publicly available video reviews and generates summaries from that content. If any material on this site infringes your copyright, we will respond promptly to valid takedown requests.

Filing a takedown notice
To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notification must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material. Please include the specific URL(s) of the page(s) in question.
- Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Send your completed notice to the designated agent listed above. We will review and respond to valid notices promptly, typically within a few business days.
Counter-notification process
If you believe material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, along with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which The Tennis Index may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notification or their agent.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material.
Repeat infringer policy
In accordance with the DMCA, The Tennis Index maintains a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of users who are repeat infringers. If a content source is the subject of repeated valid takedown notices, we may permanently remove all associated material from the site.
Good faith and misrepresentation warning
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Please ensure that you have a good faith basis for any takedown notice or counter-notification before submitting it.
